A Nameless Monster is the thirty-seventh episode of the anime.

Synopsis[]

Nina reads the picture book, "A Nameless Monster," triggering lost memories. She decides to confront Johan at the book donation ceremony.

Summary[]

Nina reads Obluda, the same picture book that caused Johan to pass out. "Once upon a time there lived a monster without a name".

Lotte starts asking questions and tells Nina that she feels that Edmund Fahren's and Richard Brown's suicide and Blue Sophie's death are somehow tied to Johan. Lotte informs Nina that Johan is at the book donation ceremony. Nina leaves after checking that she has a pistol in her bag.

At the ceremony, Tenma remembers when Johan killed Adolf Junkers and the Fortner's and Mr. Maurer's murder. Tenma is unable to shoot Johan. Roberto attacks Tenma from the back and grabs the sniper rifle to shoot Schuwald, but Tenma hits him back and prevents it.

Schuwald figures out Johan's plan and, during his speech, he instructs the attendees to the ceremony to slowly and calmly leave the place. One of Johan's accomplices starts a fire and people gets trapped inside the place.

With the fire spreading, Tenma and Roberto fight. Tenma grabs Roberto's gun and Roberto aims the sniper rifle at Tenma. Then, a gunshot is heard.
