Double Darkness is the forty-fourth episode of the anime.

Synopsis[]

Suk interviews the children from Petrov's orphanage about Grimmer, but they only have kind things to say. Tenma learns more about the twins' mother.

Summary[]

Detective Suk interrogates the children of Petrov's orphanage in his search for Grimmer. The kids say that Grimmer was a good man and that they say a blonde woman leaving the scene where Mr. Petrov was found dead and that she was the killer. Antonín informs Suk that he will meet with Grimmer.

Grimmer meets with the kids in a park and asks Antonín to give him the key back. Then they play football. Detective Suk arrives to the park and asks Grimmer if he is Inspector Zeman's killer. After talking for a bit, Suk doubts if Grimmer is the killer and decides to let him go, with the promise that he will not run away. Grimmer leaves after handing Suk the key to Petrov's safety box.

Tenma investigates the Three Frogs. He learns that a woman using a false name used to live there with her child. One day, a black car came and took them away.

Suk meets with Anna. He tells her that Grimmer, who she suggested to investigate, seems to be innocent. Suk and Anna walk trough the streets of Prague. Suk tells her about the investigation and the key to the safety box that Grimmer handed him before. Anna asks him not to tell anyone about this because she sense that he may be in danger. Suk tries to kiss her without success. Anna leaves and tells Suk that her name is Anna Liebert.

Anna goes back to her apartment. On her way there, she is greeted by her neighbors. At the apartment, it is revealed that Anna was actually Johan Liebert dressed as his sister.
