I Hate This Job is the fifty-eight episode of the anime.
Synopsis[]
Suffering with a gunshot wound, Eva's bodyguard Martin asks to see Tenma. Two months prior, he reluctantly takes on the role of protecting Eva.
Summary[]
Martin Reest, Eva Heinemann's body guard has been severely wounded after a gunfight. While he is being driven to Dr. Tenma, he tells the story of how he got involved in this situation.
Martin was hired by The Baby and Peter Čapek to look after Eva and escort her from Düsseldorf to Frankfurt. Initially, Martin disliked Eva. Eva asks Martin why he never talks or drinks, he replies that his mother was an alcoholic, thus he does not drink.
Eva tells Martin his story with Tenma and how she almost shot him. Martin then tells her that she actually shot his girlfriend and the guy who she was cheating with, killing both of them.
Eva goes on a shopping spree using Čapek's credit card and she even buys a suit and a tie for Martin, which resemble a bit of what Tenma used to look like, he also teaches manners and how to eat properly in fancy restaurants.
Eva tells Martin that the job that Čapek has given her is to attends to several parties and that he is coming with her. Eva leaves one of the parties, telling Martin that "he wasn't there". Trembling, Eva asks Martin to take her elsewhere.
They go to a bar, where Eva explains that she feels that once she is done with the job, she will surely be killed and starts crying. Martin then makes a vow to protect her.
